Dinner With Rachael Ray

Esquire Magazine conducted a Survey of the American Man in its most recent issue. One of the questions posed (in addition to funny questions like "did you see the Da Vinci Code?") was: "You're hosting a dinner party and you can invite three men and three women from the following lists. Who's coming to dinner?" The results were all over the place, but Rachael Ray was listed as the 9th most-selected woman.

Rachael is oddly sandwiched between Katie Couric and Ellen DeGeneres (no cute comments about that, people):
(Percentage is number who selected each person among their three choices.)

Condoleezza Rice - 35%
Oprah Winfrey - 33%
Angelina Jolie - 30%
Julia Roberts - 28%
Faith Hill - 27%
Jennifer Aniston - 26%
Hillary Clinton - 21%
Katie Couric - 21%
Rachael Ray - 20%
Ellen DeGeneres - 19%
Jessica Simpson - 17%
Madonna - 11%
Dr. Laura Schlessinger - 9%
Maureen Dowd - 5%

So, if the top three from each list were invited, you would have Condoleeza Rice, Oprah Winfrey, Angelina Jolie, Jay Leno, Bill Clinton and George Clooney. I wish I could be a fly on the wall at that party.

  1. A magazine like Esquire and Ms. Rice is #1? Wouldn't have expected that. ;)

  2. Yeah, me either. Everytime I think I have boys all figured out, they go and do something like this!
