Rachael Ray Roundup

Here we are - it's Friday again. Tomorrow will be an exciting day - I am attending a Sacramento Area Food Bloggers Potluck hosted by Garrett of Vanilla Garlic. I will give a full report next week on all the yummy food I eat. And, after much internal debate, I think I decided to bring Rachael's Pesto Torta. It's a go-to appetizer for me that people seem to like but I just can't decide. Wish me luck.

  • Jacob at Food Network Addict jumps to Rachael Ray's defense after an aggressive article about her (and others) was published. He also provides proof that a star should never stray far from her publicist, or pictures like these get published.
  • Erin at Erin Cooks made one my favorites: Chicken Curry. Love those pictures and what a great blog design you have, Erin!
  • Manna offers tips for Rachael's Broccoli Rabe with Lemon and Garlic.
  • The Home Cook at A Taste of Home tried another one of my favorites (also a classic Make Your Own Take Out meal), Sesame Noodles and Thai Chicken Wraps. She didn't love the sesame noodles, but I could eat them every night!
  • Jessica at Food TV and Me asks if Rachael Ray is an icon of sexy.
  • Nicole Weston at Slashfood does a little comparative analysis of Rachael Ray and Gordon Ramsay.
  • Mike at TV Food Fan considers whether picking on Rachael Ray is the hip thing to do these days. (I vote that it shouldn't be!).
  • Patti at Adventures in Food and Wine tried Rachael Ray's Devilish Sloppy Chicken. Very appropriate for Halloween!
  • Deloris at Click is on board with Rachael Ray recipes! She made Strip Steaks with Blue Cheese Spaghetti. Sounds like when I started making Rachael's recipes - it just starts with one and then you're addicted.
  • Bob Sassone at TV Squad has a great idea - have Rachael and Martha appear on each other's shows. They could put that on pay per view!

  1. Here's another one, Carla at Four Foodies tried Rachael's Spaghetti and Meatball Stoup and would definitely make it again.

  2. I hope you guys take pictures!! Have fun! :)

  3. I will do my best to remember my camera - I am horrible at remembering to take pictures.

  4. I made those cold sesame noodles awhile ago and despite the fact that I used rancid sesame oil that later made me sick, the noodles were a lot better that time then they were this time. I hate to blame my husband, but I think he put in waaay too much sesame oil. It completely overpowered the dish.

I'm planning to make them again soon, only this time I'll do the cooking. :)

  5. Home Cook - When I make them I usually bump up the hot sauce, too. Unless I am making them for a group, then I cut it in half. Those noodles travel well, too. I took them camping and they were a hit.

  6. I got hooked on Rachael. Now I'm on the lookout for more yummy recipes.

Thanks for the shout out. :)

  7. You are welcome, Deloris! I hope you keep trying them.

Thanks for leaving a comment! Reading comments and responding to them is one of my favorite parts of having a blog, so thanks for contributing.
