Another New Cookbook Theme Revealed

We recently learned that Rachael will be putting out two cookbooks this year (and only one a year after that) and we know that one of them is based on a 15, 30 and 60 minute theme. But now we know the second one, too!

Thanks to a vigilant Everything Rachael Ray reader, I knew to run home yesterday and fire up the TiVo to watch Rachael Ray's talk show. Rachael revealed the theme of this year's second cookbook during the show's introduction. She's currently writing new recipes for kids because she's working on "a new little kids cookbook, Breakfast, Lunchbox, Dinner" and teaching a cooking class at the South Beach Food and Wine Festival this year. She says all the recipes in the book can be made for any age (and same goes for Cooking Rocks).

On the episode, Rachael also shared one of the recipes she just came up with for the new cookbook - Peanut Butter and Jelly Stuffed French Toast, which certainly sounds good for this big kid. You can watch the video of Rachael making this recipe here.

  1. I just want to comment on your blog - I love Rachael Ray! I am so tired of googling her and all of these lame websites (like I hate Rachael Ray) come up. DOn't these miserable people have anything better to do than sit in their own negativity!?!

  2. Today on the show Rachael was in tears and it sounded like she said Isaboo died. Have you seen today's show? She was obviously very upset but I wasn't sure that's what she said.

  3. I haven't seen it yet! That is so sad if that is what she said. She had a dog named Boo who died years ago. Maybe that's what she said?

  4. Anony - that's exactly why I started this site! So many haters out there, so I thought there was a need for a postive RR site. Glad you like it!

  6. I'm pretty sure she did say it was "Boo" who died, but she calls Isaboo that a lot too, so I wasn't sure which dog she meant.

  7. Rob - It's certainly a catchy title and perfect to attract lunch-making parents.

Jacki - I will rewind it a couple times when I watch it tonight to make sure she says Boo and not Isaboo.

  8. I love the new kids cookbook title. Very cute. I'm falling down on the job with my RR cookbook collection - I don't have the open house cookbook or the 2,4,6 one. She keeps putting out new ones too quickly; I can't keep up!

I love Cooking Rocks, even though I don't have any children yet. The recipes are really fun, so I'm sure this new one will have good ones as well.

  9. Home Cook - I had trouble keeping up too! I haven't tried many recipes from 2, 4, 6, 8, but the ones I have tried have been good.

  10. I didn't have any of the many Rachael Ray cookbooks so I just got Rachael Ray Classics. There is a wide variety of recipes. And the format is really cute!

  11. Rachel - I was so excited to get that one! It's the only hard cover one and it has more pictures than usual.
