This week's Food Section also has a great story about the basics of food blogging. In addition to local blogs, tons of other sites are mentioned, including the Well Fed Network, Diary of The Food Whore, Is My Blog Burning?, and Pie is the New Toast.
The theme for the photographs of the three of us is very creative, although when he first explained it to me, I was a little freaked out about whether they would look silly. My sister-in-law will be happy to see that bowl since she gave the set to me for Christmas (thanks, Michelle!). I cleaned my kitchen for much longer than usual in anticipation of the "photo shoot" and tried to tell myself I just wanted to do some spring cleaning. Yeah, right.
Getting interviewed by a reporter was a new experience (Hi, Bob! Thanks for the great interview!). We talked for probably a total of about 40 minutes. I then spent the next three weeks fretting and wondering if I said anything lame. You be the judge.
If this is your first visit to Everything Rachael Ray, I hope you'll check it out, find some recipes, and give them a try! Trust me, if I can make them, then you definitely can.

ReplyDeleteLoved the article and the photos. And, your kitchen looked immaculate :-). Also, love your site!
ReplyDeleteI thought it was a great article and a great interview. The reporter was very complimentary as well. Good for you! And thanks for this site. I enjoy it very much.
ReplyDeleteYou came off great! I, however, am as thin as a spatula. :P lol
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Madeline! The article was great, and it was wonderful to learn more about you.
ReplyDeleteHi Madeline,
ReplyDeleteGreat article and great photo! I hope the exposure brings a lot more new readers to your wonderful blog.
Congratulations on the great article! No wonder you were a bundle of nerves waiting for it to come out. I would be too. Hopefully this will lead more people to your great blog. Now you just need to meet RR . . .
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Madeline! The article was great and I loved the photo.
ReplyDeleteThanks, you guys. It's so nice to hear all the great feedback, especially since I really enjoy writing ERR.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear you liked the photo, too, since I have a copy that looks like Charlotte's wedding announcement (from Sex and the City) with a big spot on my face.
The reporter even called my boss to ask about me, so I had some concern it was going to turn into some sort of food blogging exposé.
Erin - that was the photographer's puter. Funny thing is, my husband works at HP, so he was cringing!
Thanks again, it's so great to (a) finally see it and (b) hear your enthusiastic responses.
Congratulations, Madeline!
ReplyDeleteAs a fellow foodie, Sarcramentan, and Rabid Rachaelite, I am very impressed! We should start a local cook-a-thon based on all her recipes!

Allison - I think you've got a good idea there! At least two clients here have seen it. It thought no one read the Bee anymore!
