This Week on Rachael Ray's Talk Show

Sweeps month continues this week with a lineup of celebrity guests. Here are the highlights and recipes from Rachael Ray's talk show this week. For the recipes from this week's shows, check out the shopping list and the recipe archive. The recipes are listed by category in the order they appear on the show.

Monday: Sanjaya Tells All. Get ready American Idol fans, Sanjaya's visting Rachael Ray! He talks about what American Idol is really like behind the scenes, which will most likely include some discussion of his hair. Sigh. This season's final mystery taster makes an appearance and he's got 2 Oscars, 6 Golden Globes, and an Emmy. He is also a self-proclaimed metrosexual. Any thoughts on who it might be? Chicken Shawarma, one of my favorite international dishes, is what's for dinner.

Tuesday: Ty Pennington. The host of Extreme Makeover, Ty Pennington, who has been in the news lately (for the wrong reasons), shares household tips and helps Rachael make Sloppy Dudes, which are healthy Sloppy Joes. Then, realtors and renters get brutally honest and tell us how much information is too much when trying to close a real estate deal.

Wednesday: Jamie-Lynn Sigler. Rachael hosts three 12-year old designers, who take on a challenge form Project Runway's Gunn. Rachael also throws in a big surprise for them. Jamie-Lynn Sigler comes to talk about The Sopranos and shares behind-the-scenes photos.

Thursday: 3 Dates in 3 States. Rachael;s buddies Gina and Colby go on three dates in three states. They go to Atlanta, San Francisco and Miami. Gretta shares summer trends for less and Rachael shares a date night supper!

Friday: Prom Night - Teens vs. Parents. Rachael helps a father and his 15-year-old daughter meet in the middle and Rachael shares tip on how to keep your teen safe. Gretta goes inside the Avon lab to see how they create makeup and nail polish.

  1. My dad works in the mortgage industry and it's been a slump all around lately. Should be interesting to see what the officials have to say on the Ty Pennington episode (aye yi yi- drunk driving??).

I love Rachael's dress in the pic with Sanjaya (argh get him off my screen already!).

  2. I am not a Sanjaya fan, but it'll be fun to see what happens!

  3. The mystery taster was so great. It was really enjoyable to watch. Dustin Hoffman & his wife seemed so personable & nice. I fast-forwarded through Sanjaya ;)

  4. That's pretty cool that he was on the show. I am pretty impressed by that!
