Rachael Ray Roundup

I'm heading to a birthday party this week that has a very cute theme I had to share. My friend Kate is turning 30 and her Dad is turning 60, so they are having a 90th birthday party! How fun is that? Complete with a big crab boil and, I'm assuming, a fair amount of adult beverages. It should be a really fun time. Happy Birthday, Kate!

Here are the Rachael Ray posts from around the blogosphere this week. If you see a post that you think would be good for the Roundup, or you write one yourself, e-mail me so I can be sure to include it.

  • The Evil Beet enjoyed a taping of Rachael Ray's talk show despite not really being a fan.
  • Jonathan at Amanda Bynes News informs us that the episode with Amanda being aired today was taped on September 10th. Yowzer, that is fast.
  • U.S. News' Washington Whispers is all excited about Elizabeth Edwards' appearance on Rachael Ray's talk show.
  • Ashley of Chopaholic tried Rachael's Lemon Poppy Chicken with Sweet Pea and Mint Couscous with good results.
  • According to this article, the success of Rachael Ray's appearance in Atlantic City last year inspired Caesar's to continue with a series of chef speakers.
  • Good Housekeeping tested celebrity cookware in its recent issue. They liked Rachael's oval pot, but didn't love her hipster bowls or the froggy mezzaluna.

  2. This is entirely unrelated to your post, but I just had to share this with you. In the premiere issue of Everyday with Rachael Ray way back in October 2005, she was giving away a week-long trip to Italy, co-sponsored with Folonari Vineyards. I entered and won. So now, just on priniple, I have to be a Rachael Ray fan for life.

  3. Amy - I know I should be happy for you but I am SO JEALOUS! And yes, you are bonded to RR for life now.

  4. That birthday theme sounds like a lot of fun! Thanks for sharing. Next year, I turn 40, and my mom turns 60 -- we should have a 100-year party!
