Rachael Ray's Good Morning America Appearance

Rachael Ray appeared with her buddy Diane Sawyer on Good Morning America today and revealed the most downloaded recipe from her talk show website. I guessed that it would be the won ton cups or the pretzel crusted chicken, but I was wrong! And I should have gotten this one, too, since I loved it so much. The most downloaded recipe is (drumroll, please) Buffalo Chicken Chili. Now I'm going to have to make it again.

Rachael also offered a great budget cooking tip. She explained how to make three meals out of one beef brisket. The base recipe is your first meal, then you use the leftovers to make Debris for brunch and Brisket Ragu with Pasta for another meal. I'm assuming this recipe will be included in Rachael's new cookbook on this double duty theme - Just in Time: All-New 30-Minutes Meals, plus Super-Fast 15-Minute Meals and Slow It Down 60-Minute Meals.

You can get the chili and brisket recipes here.

  1. Debris? That's a new one on me = what is it?

  2. Apparently it is made from the stuff on the bottom of the brisket pan, with some chicken stock. Looks like that makes a sauce that you dip biscuits in. She also serves it with a side of scrambled eggs.

  3. I have made the buffalo chicken chili and it is a big hit with my family! The best flavors of buffalo wings in a bowl!

  4. Deborah - I think it has moved to the top of my list of recipes to recommend to people (with John's fish and Chicken Paillard, up there too).
