This Week on Rachael Ray's Talk Show

How's everyone liking Rachael Ray's new haircut? I'm thinking it looks great and is a nice change from the longer looks she's had for awhile. Anyway, back to business. Here are the highlights and recipes from Rachael Ray's talk show this week. For the recipes from this week's shows, check out the shopping list and the recipe archive.

  1. I don't know if you got a chance to hear RR's rant re: gossip on the 1/24/08 show. Previously, she wisecracked about it and made the occasional joke, but she was adamant about the hurtfulness of "bad" gossip, and has apparently started a campaign involving little rubber bracelets stamped with the word "gossip" struck through with a line. (What I'd like to know is, were the four guinea pigs seated in the front row before or after the segment in which RR let fly?)

  2. Thanks to my DVR, I usually end up watching them on the weekends, so I'll have to keep an eye out for that episode. The number one search term on my blog right now is, sadly, Rachael Ray divorce. So, I can see how she'd get frustrated!

  3. Sorry, i DON'T like Rachel's new haircut, it makes her face look fat. It encircles her chin making her face look round and pudgy, and adds bulk to her short neck, where she needs open space and the flattering line of long hair creating a long frame to divert the eye. It also doesn't 'look' like her, so there's the unfamiliarity factor. I dislike her as a dark brunette. She has lost the 'light' and energy her brighter haircolor gave her. The dark color and short cut make her look MATRONLY. She's pushing 40, and that's a bad idea! I hope she fires her current stylist, because they are applying concepts that simply do not work for her.

  5. I only noticed Rachael's new hair cut today when checking the 'this week' post on her site trying to figure out how behind we are in Australia with her shows... I still haven't figured it out but I like her hair from what I see, very nice!

(I came straight here as I knew you would have a post about it!)

  6. Yeah, variety is the spice of life, right? She had that old stye for awhile, so I think it was time for a change!

  7. Someone said "pudgy"? You've got to be kidding me. Ugh. She looks gorgeous and the new cut looks updated, trendy, and has fantastic volume. I love the darker color too, although I have to admit to getting a bit sick of the highlighting. It just seems people get highlights without thinking and just keep going and going until their hair is too blonde for their skin, the highlights don't look natural, and the shine is gone.

But that's just my opinion. :) I love natural looking highlights, just not some of the overuse we've seen in the past few years.

    Cheers!

  8. I'm waiting for the chunky highlights trend to fade away. I think it's just lazy stylists!
