March Issue of Every Day with Rachael Ray

Every Day with Rachael Ray March 2008They must be very efficient over at Every Day with Rachael Ray. I swear I just got my February issue and what shows up in my mailbox last night? Why, it's the March issue!

Before we dive into this month's issue, you should know that the magazine started a "Cooks Hotline" where you can submit a question and have it answered in an upcoming issue. Have a question about one of the recipes featured in the magazine?

Okay, onto the recipes! Let's start with my favorite part - the 30-Minute Meals. It seems that Rachael was in the mood for pasta, since lots of the recipes will have you eating the stuff. Your options are Venetian Mac 'n' Cheese with Radicchio and Shrimp, Spicy Shrimp, Cheesy Orzo and Roasted Green Beans, Quick Chicken with Gouda Gravy and Smashed Brocco-tatoes, Cacciatore Stoup with Turkey Sausage Meatballs, Farmer's Muffin Stuffin' Hash and Eggs, Carbonara Pasta Frittata with Tomato-Cucumber Salad, Leeky, Creamy Chicken-and-Dumpling Stoup, Paprika Pork Cutlets with Swiss Chard Egg Noodles, Almond Tilapia and Peas-and-Carrots Rice, and That's Shallotta Flavor Spaghetti.

Next up is the No Recipe Zone by Editor Silvana Nardone. Setting aside the fact that there are recipes for the No Recipe Zone dishes, this is a great feature, since it aims to take the stress out of cooking by showing a method rather than an exact recipe to follow. This month, Silvana shows us how to make Tomato Alphabet Soup with Parmesan Crisps. This month's No Recipe Zone also includes a recipe adapted from the Flying Biscuit Cafe for Oatmeal Pancakes with Peach Compote.

In the Get Togethers section on entertaining, the magainze offers recipes for a birtday party, including a Humungo Hamburger, Macho Nachos, Banana Split Mega Milkshake and a Jumbo Cupcake.
