Rachael Ray's Dog Attacks Another Dog?

I saw this story in the National Enquirer this morning, but didn't want to post about it until someone else picked it up.  Well, now it looks like it might be the real thing because the story is also on Radar Online and a whole bunch of other media outlets.

Apparently, Isaboo, a pit bull, has had five incidents of violence wiht other dogs.  Here's what Radar has to say about the latest incident:
The latest incident with her dog occurred in early February in New York City when Isaboo lashed out and ripped off another dog’s ear! According to an exclusive report in the National Enquirer, the dogs and their handlers were walking by each other in Greenwich Village when the attack occurred. “As the other dog walked by, Isaboo lashed out so quickly and ripped the other dog’s ear off before its handler could pull it away.”

The other dog is apparently fine and it's ear has been fixed.  Check out the full story here.  If this story is true, then I am really sorry for Rachael.  She has said many times how much Isaboo means to her, so this would be heartbreaking.

  1. Madeline - You feel sorry for Rachael? Are you kidding me? How about feeling sorry for the one eared dog? Or the owner of the one eared dog for watching their pet go through the pain and agony? Dont you think the 5 dogs Isaboo bit need a little sympathy? That perhaps these innocent dogs might be mentally scarred because of Isaboo? How many chances does a dog get? What if its a child next time?

You wrote that as a joke, right?

Good thing R.R. married a lawyer. Sounds like he will need to do some more clean up.

  2. Isaboo is going to kill somebody. Only a matter of time.

  3. Now, pit-bull owners let me guess. It was the other dog's fault? The other handler's fault? The weather's fault? Pidgeons fault? Sidewalks fault?

Its never the Pit-Bulls fault. Right? Isn't that what all Pit owners say?

  4. This breaks my heart. I know how much Rachael Loves Izzy... as much as I love my dog... I am sure she is hurting.

  5. Reguarding her dog call Ceasar Milan! He is a big advocate of pit bulls! I watch Dog Whisper all the time and he does wonders!

  6. Five times is four times too many. It is time for Isaboo to stop being a threat to the neighborhood.

  7. Ceasar Milan isn't gonnna touch this one with a ten foot billy club. Isaboo is beyond help. He's had professionals around him all his life and still attacks.

A failure re rehabilitate this murdering mongrel in public would hurt Ceasar's reputation and not worth the risk.

  8. I have been training dogs for 20 years and just FYI it has NOTHING to do with her being a pitbull. The worst dog I ever had to deal with with was a chocolate labrador. I've been bitten once in 20 years and that was a yorkie. I work with over 400 dogs a year. Isaboo needs the power of a pack of dogs to teach her that this behavior is not normal. First of all she lives in a situation that is not conducive to her getting any better. She needs a strong pack leader 24/7 and with Rachel and her husband's schedule I doubt that is possible. Most dog walkers are not good leaders they just think it's fun. I agree, Cesar is her best bet.

  9. Sadly if this were anyone but the dog of RR
it would have been taken away long before the
5th attack. They are thinking of muzzling the
dog? As much as Ms. Ray loves her dog she and
her husband don't spend enough time with her and it shows. A regular person's dog would not
be given so many chances..God forbid it could
    be a child next time.

  10. Just because a Pitbull attacks another dog does not mean that they will attack a person. Pitbulls can be dog aggressive but not human agressive. That is part of their makeup. I have a Pitbull. She happens to love other dogs and would never instigate a fight. But she will defend herself should a dog start a fight with her. She adores people, children especially. She is 8 years old and I have never had an issue with her.

  11. Dont down pitbulls. I have one that has NEVER hurt anyone. Its NOT the breed. Some dogs r dog aggressive. There have been MORE attacks by chihuahuas than pitbulls. So shut up!

  12. Does everyone hear what they believe?? I never heard of Izzy attacking 5 times, if that was the case she would be ordered to put her down, Dont attack Rachael because of who whe is and dont attack pits, they are wonderful dogs and so tired of people trashing them. They always want to print attacks but other dogs attack and you dont heard one word about them. I have a pitbull and she is the greatest dog ever, and has never bitten another dog or person. So all you pit haters go get educated on the beautiful bread and help against dog fighting.

  13. Its a good thing people know that Rachael and her husband dont spend enought time with Izzy. Are you people following them around and seeing this? YOU PEOPLE NEED TO GET A LIFE!!

  14. What drives me crazy is the ignorance of people, thinking that a dog with dog aggression will "escalate" to human aggression. A dog can be dog aggressive without EVER becoming human aggressive. She needs to get with a behaviorist and start some work with Isaboo to get them both through this. Dog aggression and human aggression are two different things to a dog. One will not necessarily lead to the other.

  15. Hey Cesar ("Dog Whisperer") -- I think it's time for you to come train Rachael how to handle Isaboo correctly. Izzy is no Golden Retriever, but that DOESN'T mean she can't be trained to behave around other dogs. But if she's gotten into fights in the past, then no doubt Rachael needs to understand how to deal with that now, since SHE probably gets tense and nervous when other dogs are around now -- making Izzy more prone to fighting because she thinks she needs to protect Rachael!

  17. You can add biryani masala .I use Everest or even local brand like Shakti here. You can do that without that masala also but the taste will differ. I like this pulao with and without biryani masala.

  19. This is because dogs are basically carnivores and therefore love chewing on a bone.
